- Ghorn, la Cité Pieuse -

” In the past, in the strange city of Ghorn (nicknamed “the pious city”), wizards were tolerated. They were allowed a brief stopover during their pilgrimage. In return they had only one rule to respect: no magic. No invocations, spells, charms, curses, or any kind of supernatural manifestation… In case of infringement, the penalties could range from a simple fine to a death sentence, depending on the severity of the religious court.

But those days are over: since the election of Saint Waldrade to the post of supreme matriarch, fanatical followers have closed the gates of the city and the magi are hunted down – then crammed into concentration camps. The abuses are public and cruel. Anyone suspected of sympathising with them disappears immediately. There are unprecedented waves of denunciations, and false accusations multiply at the same rate as the crimes, as a climate of terror grips the city… “

This is the context in which the game will take place.
It will be a medieval-fantasy rpg/survival. Players will play as renegade mages.
The gameplay will be reminiscent of The Division (mixing urban exploration / PvE combat (and PvP in some areas – City on the surface / illegal underground world) / loot).
The universe will be mostly urban, but the city being huge, some more open environments could be included.
Inspiration: Sean Andrew Murray’s universe, Cadwallon’s Freehold City, Mordheim – but with a presence of steampunk elements, a bit like the Arcane series.
For the moment, the team is still hesitating between dark fantasy and something a bit more colourful.
